Our next pork will be available for delivery in the fall of 2023.

Thanks for ordering with us! We will contact you to confirm that we have received your order and to answer any questions that you may have. You will receive an invoice when we know the exact hanging weight and processing costs just before delivery of the meat.

A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to reserve your pork. The deposit will be put towards the final cost of the pork. Payment in full is required at the time of pick-up or delivery. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, e-transfer (, or cash. If it would be convenient for you to pay in installments leading up to your order delivery date, let us know.

Price: $3.75/lb based on the hanging weight plus processing for your order.

An additional charge may apply for delivery of meat to locations more than 150 km away from Mayerthorpe.

The amount of meat you receive might be about 65 - 75% of the hanging weight, depending on the cuts you choose and whether it is boneless or still has some bones (in this example, about 72 - 83 lbs of meat for the freezer).

For a half of pork, you can customize your cutting instructions. Some suggestions are included below.

If you are interested in bacon or ham without the curing salt (nitrate-free), please let me know as one processor will do this. This is a health-conscious choice but please note that the flavor will be different.

The Italian Sausage is a raw sausage that is nitrate-free, sugar-free, and low in salt. Note that any sausage flavor has a 25 lb minimum order. On half a pork, this will likely eliminate any possibility of receiving ground pork and you may have to sacrifice a few other cuts in order to get enough ground meat for sausage. Contact us for a list of sausage flavours available.

You can request the "leaf lard" and render it to make your own healthy lard.

You can request the pork bones to make nutritious bone broth or feed them to your dog.

People ask how much freezer space they need for 1/2 pork.  A rough estimate is 3 cubic feet.
